Who is responsible
This site is run by Enrico Lorenzo De Vito, who is responsible for the processing of personal data described here. Contact: info@thereplacemind.com.
What this site does not do
No analytics, no advertising, no profiling, no account and no newsletter. The site does not set cookies of its own and does not ask for personal data to read or download the book.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. To deliver the pages and protect them from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data such as the IP address, the browser and the time of the request, under its own privacy policy (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy).
Download counter
The site counts how many times each file of the book is downloaded, one number per file and per day. It does not record who downloads: no IP address, no cookie, no identifier.
Resources from other sites
- The Social Risk page loads map data and the d3 and topojson libraries from jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net); the Economy Model page loads Pyodide, which runs the model in the browser, from the same service. jsDelivr receives the IP address of the browser that asks for the files.
- The book page shows the PayPal donation button. PayPal loads its own code and may use cookies; if you donate, PayPal processes your payment data under its own privacy statement (paypal.com). The site receives from PayPal only what PayPal sends to every payee: name, email and amount of the donation.
What is stored in your browser
The site remembers the language you choose (Italian or English) in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device and is never sent to the site.
If you write to info@thereplacemind.com, your address and message are used only to reply and are not shared with anyone.
Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its processing, by writing to info@thereplacemind.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it).
